Five-day Qualsafe-approved Level 3 pre-hospital emergency care qualification for seafarers, offshore workers, event medics and anyone operating in remote or high-risk environments.
FREC 3 is the industry-standard entry point into pre-hospital emergency care. Over five days you will build the confidence to take charge of an incident, deliver basic life support and oxygen therapy, control catastrophic bleeding and manage the full range of trauma and medical emergencies until the emergency services arrive. Delivered by experienced maritime and pre-hospital instructors with realistic scenario training throughout, and assessed on the final day. The qualification is regulated by Ofqual, sits on the RQF and is valid for three years.
Advanced Qualsafe Level 4 pre-hospital care qualification for FREC 3 holders moving into enhanced clinical roles offshore, at sea and at events.
FREC 4 builds on FREC 3 with enhanced patient assessment, supraglottic airway management, ECG acquisition and the administration of specified medicines under Patient Group Directions. It is the recognised qualification for enhanced pre-hospital care providers working under clinical governance, and a common stepping stone to associate ambulance practitioner roles. The course combines pre-course study, classroom delivery, extended scenario work and a portfolio of evidence. Valid for three years.
One-day Qualsafe-approved Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification — the fastest route to a compliant workplace first aider certificate.
EFAW covers everything an appointed first aider in a lower-risk workplace needs: incident assessment, CPR and defibrillator use, choking, bleeding, shock, burns and minor injuries. It is practical, hands-on and completed in a single day with no formal exam pressure. The certificate meets HSE guidance, is valid for three years and can be delivered at our centre or on your site for groups.
Three-day Qualsafe-approved Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification for designated first aiders in higher-risk or larger workplaces.
The full First Aid at Work course goes well beyond the one-day EFAW, adding injury management, sudden illness, secondary survey and casualty handover. It is the qualification most employers need where their first aid needs assessment identifies higher risk — engineering, marine, construction and industrial settings in particular. Assessed by practical scenarios and written papers across the three days, valid for three years and available on site for groups.
